Tree Planting Program
The West 78th Street Museum Block Association has done a complete census (including measurements and photographs of every tree and surrounding sidewalk of our 37 trees and 6 empty pits). With the assistance of the Parks Department and the firm Urban Arborists, we determined that an extensive program of tree removal and replacement as well as tree pit enlargement and protection should be instituted as soon as possible. In their opinion, it is urgent that we undertake such a program as soon as possible.
