Enlarge Tree Pits

The tree pits need to be enlarged prior to planting new trees.  Read the details on the design and funding requirements.

In our discussions with Urban Arborists, we discovered that for any new tree installation, the Parks Department requires that the tree pit be 4'x8' (to see more about Tree Care from the Parks Department, click here).  The longevity of the tree is substantially increased by the increased water absorption and room for roots.  Our existing trees would also benefit greatly from the increased room.
